Today, India observes the day when the country became free from British rule in the year 1947. India’s Independence Day is celebrated as a national holiday with flag hoisting, cultural programs, and the Prime Minister’s speech in the state capital.

by this man since I was a kid, I used to say that I am the new Gandhi and will
do Something Great for India one day.
The 15th of August is significant for Indians and the day is
marked with a red letter on Indian calendar because it is one of the most
important dates in the history of our country. It was the day when Indian
become an independent country.

For many centuries before 1947, our country was ruled by
foreigners, as per sources, Indian was ruled by Turks from the Middle East,
then by Mughals and then by Britain people. The outsiders used to rule our
country to get rich by using our country's wealth and natural resources.
To get Freedom we always need to scarify and it never comes
easy. The same thing happened with India and it took many years to get freedom.
The people of the nation remember the fighters who sacrificed their lives in
the struggle for independence. On 15th August 2017, we should pay homage to the
great leaders and freedom fighters, who suffered a lot to win the freedom.
This day also inspires us to pursue the teaching of calm and
diplomacy that was preached by Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation. This
day reminds us of our duty and responsibility to the country.
What is going to happen on 15th August 2017 | 71th Independence Day
If you watched or heard the news which held on Parliamentary
Party this 19 July, PM Modi disclose his heart desire to make this year’s
Independence Day 2016 celebration special. He told all his party members to
arrange an outstanding function on August 15 2016.But there is not a final news what programs are going to happen on 2017.
Last year “Bharat Parv” Festival was celebrated on 70th impedance day. It had been decided that for the first time, and we witnessed a six-day long ‘Bharat Parv’ festival at Rajpath near India Gate in
the national capital, beginning 12 August and ends 17 August 2016. It was
inaugurated by the Prime Minister at 5 P.M on 12 August, and will be
accompanied by a musical show presented by the Armed Forces.
Not just Bharat Parv but "Tiranga Yatras" was also taken place
across the country from 15-22 August. The purpose of both programs is to remind
all states people about the important day. PM Modi wants this day as a national
festival that will invoke patriotism and pride for the nation.
It’s not an end because one more program is going will go on
from August 9 until August 23. 70. It will call as “Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo
Qurbani”

There the National Flag is hoisted and the National anthem
is sung in chorus. Everybody takes a new oath to serve the country and to do
everything to uplift her glory.
History of Independence Day
British people tortured and looted Indians for many years.
In 1857, a fight for freedom has started. In the 20th century, all the freedom
fighters under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi started the independence
movement and colonial powers were transferred to India. Freedom celebration has
started at 11 pm on August 14, 1947, and India gained its freedom at the
midnight.
How India Celebrates Independence Day
On 15th August, Indians pay homage to their great leader and
freedom fighters, who helped them get independence. Every government building
is decorated with tricolor lights and they organized cultural programs.
The government of India celebrates a big event at the Raj
path, India Gate in New Delhi. Where people gather to listen to the inspiration
speech of our Prime Minister. At Raj Path, Indian respects all the great
leaders.
A freedom fighter sacrifices him to protect Mother India and
to make India an Independent country. Prime Minister hosts the national flag
and gives a verbal communication to address the nation at the Red Fort in Old
Delhi. Prime Minister speech always motives us to be a great man and always
respect our nation rules and regulation.
There are also many there actives held at Red Fort, like
Special inspiration programs by the army, navy and Air Force will be held.
Schools and colleges kids do many other cultural and dance program, which
represent a great message.
Flaunt the Indian Tricolor with pride
The Indian flag is also known as ‘Tiranga’ meaning three
colors - saffron, white and green - representing courage and sacrifice, peace
and truth, faith and chivalry respectively. In the center is the Ashoka Chakra
